When I started out, I was chasing plugins. I thought the sound I wanted was hiding in some plugin I didn't own yet. I was ignorant of the thing that actually mattered: the process behind the decisions.
Once I learned that, it changed everything.
I've always wondered how I'd teach my younger self to mix. And if I had to start over, I'd want to learn the process first, not the gear.
That's why this masterclass is built entirely on stock plugins. To take your mind off the least important thing, so you can focus on the most important one: the decisions.
How the week works
One song. Five days.
One song. Five days. Every decision explained as it happens, not edited after the fact. Depth and space (reverb, delay, width) are built in as each part goes in, not added at the end.

Import & Organize
Rough prep, gain staging, and the signal-flow decisions everything else builds on.
- DAY 2
Foundation
Drums and bass: balance, level, and the groundwork decisions that hold the mix together.
- DAY 3
Keys & Guitars
Fitting the harmonic instruments around the foundation, with depth and space built in as each part goes in.
- DAY 4
Vocals
Clarity and presence: making the vocal sit right without losing emotion.
- DAY 5
Polish & Master
Final balance, bus processing, and delivering a broadcast-ready mix.

Questions
Do I need expensive plugins to follow along?+
No. Everything is mixed using only stock plugins, the same ones that come with your DAW.
What if I can't attend live?+
General includes 30-day replay access, and VIP includes 60-day access, so you won't miss anything.
What's the difference between General and VIP?+
VIP joins the live sessions via Zoom, so you can ask your questions directly and keep them out of the general group, plus a VIP-only Q&A session and 60-day replay access. General joins via Muse with live text Q&A and 30-day replay.
Will there be another edition?+
Yes, roughly three times a year, but each one mixes a different song live, so nothing here repeats.
